Has anyone contacted or know if any local Drill teams, Gymnastic Teams, Polo Teams or High School Rodeo Teams. Who might be interested in helping equines in need and promoting equine rescue?

Just trying to think of ways to get the word out.

You know Central Washington University has an Equestrian Team. My bestfriend is the president....

I will have to talk with her....

I'd be willing to look up groups and contact them. I would just like support from rescues only.

If anyone has an idea of what should be said in the first contact email/letter please let me know.

There are so many Drill teams and equestrian teams out there, I think it would be a great opportunity to get the word out.

Another thought that we brought up on the old board are Girl Scout troops...Some of the merit badges have to do with animal and horse care...maybe a couple troops could help out in some manner.

We have been fairly successful at getting groups involved with our operation. Our approach is to invite groups to our facilities to learn about what we do. It is surprising how many don’t know what horse rescue is all about but after they see it in action many of them want to get involved. So I suggest a first contact would be an offer of some type of educational tour of the facility.

I will do the leg work in contacting groups if someone would like to send me information. I am new to the site and would need to know contacts for the facilities that groups can tour. a list of do's and don't. Things like can a add pics of previous and current adoptions. I want to make sure if I contact anyone, I am putting the best foot forward for equine rescue.

I am not sure what the "mane event" is, but are we making a show at county and state fairs?

I just thought of another group we might be able to get to help, maybe sponsor a horse...4H clubs.
