Ok.. anyone speak Dutch? I think that's what this is...
I get that they are asking about a horse on my website - Kyowa. That's about as far as I got. lol
And like I'd really ship a horse over THERE. Puh-lease. I thought this was funny though.
Hallo!

Looks German (Deutschland). Sandra Lorenz is the person's name maybe?
Watch out, it might be another form of the Nigerian money order scam!

(Hallo! Ich heiße Sandra Lorenz und komme aus Deutschland) - Hello, may name is Sandra Lorenz and I'm from Germany.
(Ich interessiere mich für das Pferd mit der Nummer #546, 4 years old Mare "Kyowo". ) I'm very interested in your ___________ number $546 , 4 year old mare Kyowa
so yeah, you were right on, and then the rest of it is about being interested in adopting her...then I get lost, and then she's inquiring about shipping to Germany and I think is it possible......and that's where my recollection of German is nacht!!!!!!!!
I can see shipping a horse over if it's valuable...but still. My friends were offered $25,000 for their cutting mare a couple of years back from a couple in Italy...they declined, they love her too much!

Call me skeptical.. but I would assume the rest was asking if she was still "tender". ick. I had someone from another country over there (I can't remember if it was Sweden or ??) wanting a real "American Mustang" last year. I sent that email to Ramona Bishop in Burns. (BLM) lol

Actually, she is asking if the horse is still available, how much she would need to spend and is it possible to get the horse to Germany. Then she asks if the horse is rideable (reitbar). I'm not sure what zahm is, but I think it means sound. At least she's not asking how tender he is!

Ist das Pferd zahm, ist es reitbar? (is the horse tame/gentle, is it ridable?)
Ich möchte sie gern adoptieren und möchte gern wissen wieviel ich an Gebühren zahlen muss und ob es überhaupt möglich ist das Pferd nach Deutschland zu bekommen? ( i would like to adopt and wonder how much it would cost to ship to Germany)
She ends with : Mit freundlichen Grüßen (with kind regards)

dcsmmi, contact Simrat Khalsa (simrat@akalranch.com) if you need any input about shipping overseas and how to determine legitimacy of inquiry. She is heavily involved in the Spanish Mustang Registry (SMR - uncle is Emmett Brislawn, the Mustang Man, founder of Cayuse Ranch in Wyoming), and I know they ship to the U.K. frequently. She would be a great contact to grill about this topic. (Her Spanish Mustangs are also amazing - www.akalranch.com - as are her uncle's - http://www.cayuseranch.com.) Good luck!

Hey thanks guys!! That's great. I wonder why she would send me an email in German though - my site is all in English obviously...
WELL. I will reply in English and let her figure it out. She has an advantage though - sounds like she can read English!

What kind of horse is it? Appies and Quarter Horses are all the rage in Germany and fetch such high prices that many people are finding it cheaper to buy over here and ship them home. Animali Farm (PMU rescue) a while ago had a woman purchase 7 or 8 appies to ship back to Germany.
But I would suspect a scam!

But I would suspect a scam! Yeah, one of those "we'll wire the money to your account - give me your account number" jobs. Or bogus cashiers check. Something like that. Boy am I paranoid!

BE careful... there are enough horses for sale in Germany, why would she want to get one from WA? It smells like a scam.. tell her you like your horses to stay close by so you can keep an eye on them!
