I am taking classes right now and there was a discussion on Estrgoen and what a great cardio agent it was. so I posted that about the fact that Premerin comes from PMU farms and sometimes there are by products of these farms go through the rescue. This is the answer I got back--- "To be quite honest as long it works. It doesn't matter where it comes. from. I appreciate the information Shelley." I have to say the minds of people  |

Oh no! Selfish women and idiotic, irresponsible drivers. Is it a full moon? I am not a violent person by any means, but I doubt I could be civil to either of these two people who are taking up space and oxygen that should be going to kind and decent people.

what an ignorant B***h that is. I admire your power of not letting her have it. She would have gotten a not so nice email back from me with some educational information. I might have just gone over to her, tied her to a chair, taped her eyelids open so she had to look at the pictures and videos of the poor suffering horses. Betcha that would change her mind. Or we could put her in a tiny little stall, and tie a bag to her "you-know'what" so she can pee in that and see how she likes that. HA!

Sunlights: please tell the ignorant person who claims that estrogen is a great "cardio" agent that in fact the Women's Health Initiative Study, which was released TO GREAT FANFARE several years ago, has CONFIRMED that estrogen is NOT A GREAT CARDIO AGENT. In fact, the study showed that women starting on estrogen (as opposed to someone who has been on it already for years) have a significantly increased risk of vascular events (strokes, MI's, blood clots). This is true of both the pregnant mare derived estrogen (Premarin) and the synthetic estrogens. Whenever someone tries to give you "medical advice" please ask them 1)where did they get their medical degree? (I got mine at UC Davis) and 2) Exactly which peer-reviewed study are they referring to in their claim to have "facts"?
I hope for the sake of everyone in your class that no one left believing that they will get cardiovascular benefits from taking estrogen. It just ain't so!
Off my soapbox now; but misinformed fools posing as experts really pi$$es me off!

I read a post on another forum where they were bashing Barbaro's owners for spending so much money on him...saying he deserved to die and that money would have been better spent fighting disease. Some people are SO clueless it frightens me.

Well thanks everyone it was hard not say anything to her. I dont have much knowledge on HRT but I do know about the horses and that is what made me upset. I was not sure if I could go postal on her in class with out getting in to trouble myself. I am just surpriesed at some peoples mind set. It lreminds me of the people who leave the dog tied outside in the snow because they will keep warm attitude. Stupid!!!!!!
