I think the jingles are for ME!
Kaleigh has been a little "off" the past day. Normally she's been really enthusiastic about working. Yesterday, she was a little "off" so we stopped. Jeanne said she looked "tired" and last night she spent a lot of time laying down. (she's on camera so she's being closely monitored).
She doesn't look like she's ready to foal. No "V", not bagged up at ALL. But, she was very sick when she came off the lot with symptoms that COULD have been rhino. (Definitely NOT strangles) Since we didn't know she was pregnant, we didn't culture it. IF it was rhino, there is the possibility that she could lose the baby 1-4 months post-sickness (she's a week past 4 months) in her last "tri-mester" (right where she is). So, me being me, I've been worried. (It's what I do!)
Jeanne, who has a heck of a lot more experience at this than I do, isn't worried. Just watching her.
So, please jingle and pray for her that she'll feel better and that all will progress just fine for her and for the baby. (and that I won't be so worried)
On another note... I rode a huge warmblood yesterday (ex-Grand Prix jumper) and found that my bend-y parts don't bend so well any more!! What a HUGE guy - and sweet as they come! But, my hip joints (of all things!) are a little sore today.. And, on the dismount, I "expected" to hit the ground about 8 inches before I actually did! Pretty funny!
