Yesterday, SirPrize and I had the good fortune of having a private three hour clinic with Jerry Tindell. jerrytindell.com/ Jerry Tindell is an amazing horseman and is all about kindness and fairness in his training methods. His subject was a typical youngster and the changes in behavior that came about in this session were astounding. I am very, very particular about who I let handle this special mule, who Jerry calls "SirPrize The Wonder Mule"! The video grapher spoke with me afterwards and said I have a really great mule. Sure wish I could find the dope that took Jamaica to the feedlot. I would love to show this person what they threw away! This was our second time working with Jerry and in this instance he decided to video tape the session and make it available in the future as one of his training videos. It was a lot of fun and we learned a lot. What I didn't know was that he was planning on including me in part of the video taping. (ugh!). He interviewed me in the beginning to get some history, and I got my CBER plug in. Don't know if it will get edited out or not, but I gave it a try. Had I known he was going to include me, I would have worn my CBER t-shirt. I am hoping to get a plug for CBER on the DVD insert, so keep your fingers crossed. Here are some photos:

Jerry lives down here by me, and I would love to go to a clinic with him, but he always seems to be traveling!!
I think he helped Lifesavers host their original Wild Horse Boot Camps, and they have newpaper articles on the wall from when He Jill and leslie Neuman went to Australia to help start a gentling program for brumbies.
Good Job Jen although you've done REALLY well with him so far what with not being a mule skinner ;D

Ooops meant to ask you how you liked Mike? Was Nancy with him? For those who fdo not know Video Mike is married to Nancy and she hosts the famed and fabulous mustangs4us website, that is chock full of anything and anyone who is anything mustang and burro! I had the pleasure of seeing them together in Tx at the makeover. Where Mike was ... filming of course! LOL. You can puchase Jerrys Videos and others Mike has done at www.video-mike.com/and browse Nancy's site at www.mustangs4us.com/They are the folks that rescued Lewis and Clark when the 3 strike ruling went into effect. When it became clear the boys were not going to be happy in captivity they allowed them to be released into Lifesavers born to be wild sanctuary in the Tehachapi mountains.

That is SO great! I love Jerry Tindell! He really knows mules!
I still think you should look into showing SP at some dressage in-hand shows this year. Make those DQs choke on their Starbucks! He is a gorgeous animal. You guys will clean up in dressage!
