RIP Tahomas Music 1972-Oct 13, 2007. May you watch over me in the green pastures of heaven. Your spirit is always felt at home. I have heard it mentioned that you get one good horse in a lifetime. Music, that was you. You were always a goer, a trail riding machine that all the others had to keep up with. You were amazing even at your older age. You listened to me vent, and put up with my shortfalls. You werent a cuddler, but always knew when I needed extra love. I will miss terribly giving you mush at night and that was our time together. The next horse that comes into my life will have huge shoes to fill, and I can only hope that it will have the same love of life that you did. Race the wind my beautiful, I will always love you

RIP sweet boy!
Michelle, I agree, we are all suckers for pictures, and would love to put a fuzzy face to your boys name.

I would love to be able to give them to you, but I didnt have a digital camera before he died. The only picture that I have that I could post would be off of my cell phone and I have no clue how to do that. All the other pictures I have are the old fashioned kind. But in is day boy was he something. He was black with the white spots on his rump and one white sock on the left hind leg. He had been raced at one time and even at 35 years old he could just wear me out. He was all business on the trail, nobody could keep up. The black finally faded to gray especially on his face and chest and most of the mane that he had had started to fall out. He gave us a big scare while we were on vacation, he had what was described as a seizure but came out of it the same day. We were 2500 miles from home so you know I was a complete basket case, thank god we only had one more day away from home. He had what we figure was a stroke 3 weeks later and we were home. We had just finished our brand new barn that will hold 3 ton of hay and we had just brought home a ton of hay. I thank the good lord above that we were home because I dont think he would have been able to get back up without my husband there to help. We made the decision that day and had the vet out. My husband stayed with Music through everything and cried like a baby when it was done. I will try and find out how to post a picture from my cell phone. I would like for you all to see him.

Thank you so much for posting this picture for me. This was taken three days before I had to make that hard decision to let him go. He was enjoying his mush and just relaxing.

Oh, michellep, he was gorgeous. It is obvious you loved him dearly and miss him sorely.
Perhaps one day you'll find another horse to love...and we see lots of sweethearts posted on our board.
