*36 Horses Needing Homes* PICTURES!!

Hi ....
Okay I'm getting good at finding horses that need homes... I'm sorry I didn't post this in the horses in need area, but these horses need just as much attention as the other ones do. There are ***36 HORSES***!!!!!

Anyways, they work with a horse broker who buys/sells at New Holland and other auctions where slaughter buyers are present. They sort of step in- and try to find them homes, just like CBER does.
Actually New Holland I *think* is the biggest "kill" sale in the US, not sure. Anyways, these horses have till every Friday to find a home, sometimes a little longer and then they ship out---to where?- I don't know for sure either back to the auction or maybe right to slaughter...I don't really know.

Anyways, there are some VERY nice horses. A lot of them are broke, and they are VERY reasonable priced. Much lower than in Yakima.
I'm sorry that they are so far away from most of you, but they really need help too.

Geez, those are some nice horses. I am surprised that horses like that are going to slaughter. I mean, I shouldn't be, but I am.

Do you do QT ? Do you know what QT and shipping would cost to Oregon?

I might be able to quarentine if absolutly desperate, but I prefer not to, because fencing is only adequate for one horse at this time. That will hopefully change soon....But I have made friends with some great horse people in this area who may be interested in quarentining a horse for you, or if you contact AC4H they have some wonderful people who could hook you up with quarentine, and possibly even shipping.

Since gas prices recently dropped a lot, hauling out to Oregon may not be that bad.

Hauling my horse from WA to NJ was $1,300 in June and that was at the peak of the gas price hike. I used Nation-Wide Horse Transport. They were great and did a lay over in Colorado which really helped my horse.
If you get more than one horse, many haulers will darastically reduce the price of shipping for each horse. And some of the haulers have offered to ship at a discount for rescued horses.
I think it is definatly worth it!
