Zodie (Sophie)- 12 y/o- 13.2h- Bay Arabian Mare
Post by cherie on Sept 28, 2006, 9:16pm
Zodie - 12 year old, 13.2h, bay Arab mare. She was hard to catch but once caught she was easily to lead and respectful of your space. She has a cute trot, plow reins, stops, backs but is a little herd bound. She was responsive to soft leg, and reins. When we took the halter off she opened her mouth as if a bit were in it.

tinker,
is it you can't afford the bail, or you don't have a place right now? What about in the near future? Maybe she could get bailed, kept somewhere, and then when the time is right you could take her? Just an idea.

I wonder why she has no interest...she is so cute and would be perfect for a small or younger rider.

Yes, all of the above. I support three horses at three different rescues right now and that has completely tapped me out for now. I also live in Ohio and it wouldn't be cost effective to have a horse shipped here. Especially with the holidays coming up. My hands are tied right now. I just keep praying for this little girl to finds a new home before she faces certain death by the bolt; she really just touches my heart, can't explain why (you folks understand I'm sure) and it's sad no one has any interest in her.

We have changed her name to Sophie as she is so sweet. She currently has a terrible case of strangles and almost didn't make it. We are hoping she is on the road to recovery. The vet will bw out tomorrow. Will update with pictures soon.
