13 year old, 15h, Arab mare. This mare is terrified in her surroundings and was trembling. She was hard to assess due to her fear but after gentle handling she settled down. She is a beautiful sensitive mare that will require a patient handler. We were told that this mare can not be fed alfalfa but so far we are not seeing any adverse reactions. She was good to ride, very responsive to leg and rein pressure. She try to please the rider and do what is asked of her. Please contact Heidi Antonie for more information. This horse KILLS me. What in the blazes is she doing on that lot? being an Arab person. let me tell you, that little mare is golden!!! She is terrified out of her wits being in that strange lot with all the new sounds and smells and horses, yet she is trying SO hard to do what they are asking of her. That is one heck of a little horse right there. Take it from me, that horse CAN NOT ship!!!!! You can see it in her eyes how much she wants to please. She would be worth her weight in gold once she got into her forever home. I wish more that anything that I could help her.

Come on people, please someone take this girl. We don't have the space yet for her but I can't see her ship. Don Juan is so much fun to ride with the higher step and arched neck. If you've never ridden an Arab your missing out on the ride of your life. They have energy and pzazz. Is there anyone on the fenceline even remotely considering her?

Yes, someone needs to take this girl. It is so disheartening seeing her standing there. She will be a gorgeous lady this summer if someone can give her a chance. I am an Arabian horse owner too, so I can attest to the loving nature of an Arabian. You can tell she is one who would love to please her owner. I wish when people let their horses go they would give the papers too. I bet she is registered. That might of helped in her placement.

If you go out on the CBER site, she's pulled to Sam's place and on meds. They said she was sponsored- does that mean her meds and boards?
|
|
|
Post by Charsgma on Jan 26, 2007 0:33:57 GMT -5
That means her board has been paid for and so has her medication..But she still needs a home...

So bail hasn't been met- I didn't think the FLO let horses off the lot without being paid for?

She has been paid for she is sponsored but still available for adoption. Some nice person foot the bill to get her off the lot. No the FLO does not let them off the lot if there not paid for..

Heidi got back to me. A donor has paid her bail to get her off the lot, but she stills needs to be adopted and a home found and the money paid back to the donor so another horse can be saved. She is safe from the truck and is on meds. Any takers? ??

Anne - maybe it was someone from your BAEN ad or my RVEN ad for Moonlight ? Could be. I know the ads generate a lot of interest. Maybe CBER could add a little check-off box on their application asking people how they found out about this horse.
