Malissa is a nice Bay Arabian Mare. She is very sweet and loves attention. She is approx. 15-18 years of age and 14.2hh. She needs a refresher in training and is very willing so an experienced person could do this no problem. She picks up her feet and leads and backs easily on the ground. She has been leadline ridden but will need a refresher for sure. She will make a great project for any Arab lover! Adoption Fee: $750.00 Contact Jim at www.hytymeequinerescue.net for more info. Spent some time with Malissa, she is actually a cute little gal. She is a tiny little gal and at first was kinda pushy, but she takes direction very well. She likes to be brushed and picked up all her feet for hoof picking. She lounged very well and did it in both directions. She is friendly and cute. I will try to get pics of her under saddle next time.

Pics to come.
We had Malissa under saddle yesterday. She is super cute little hunter style. Lounges great and we had a rider on her and she did well. She was a little crabby about it at first but once she realized she was going to have to do it, she settled in and went to work. THis horse has stamina, she has not worked in ages but we worked her for about 45 mins and she barely broke a sweat. If there is a small rider who needs an endurance horse you may want to look here!
This horse is smart and willing, she tests her rider and will relent when she realizes they will not let her get away with it. She would make a nice pony club or 4-H project and has very cute movement and nice extended trot!

Malissa went to the vet and got her teeth floated last week so she should put on some good weight, she is working regularly on the lounge line and under saddle, she has gotten ALOT better with her ground manners and is being a good girl. She is now coming up and actively wanting to some out of pasture. We are looking for a smaller-lighter volunteer to come out and ride her more often, with consistency she will be great, she has lots of energy and stamina even this early in the game and likes to move. She has a big arab extended trot!
