Pez (Kristal)- 19-20 y/o - 14.1hh - Appy Mare
Post by cybercat on Oct 7, 2006, 2:02pm
Pez is a 19-20 year old 14.1h appy mare. She's gentle and very quiet. Pez followed us around the feedlot until it was her turn to be assessed. She plow reins, stops and backs easily when being ridden. Pez is not 100% sound on her circles, which could be caused by her overweight physical condition putting stress on her feet. A reducing diet ahd exercise could work wonders for this sweet horse. She loved attention and being petted after her ride.
Please contact Vickie for more information.

I caught a remark on the other board that the person who is taking Hops would consider also taking Pez, but hasn't got enough funds for both horses. There was also a comment that someone else is interested in her, too, so that may not matter.
I did tell the Hops adopter to check over here if she thinks it might work out to take Pez. You know how I like to keep best friends together.

I have contacted the PS, Heidi, Leanne ... hmmm ... Who else? We have offered a home to both Pez and Aleshia here at Tired Dog Ranch if there bail is met. We just have to work out transport. They can come and live with the other grandmas (Lady Ambrosia and Lady Officer Florence), eat their delicious mush, and play bingo every night. Perhaps Phileas Max would watch over these older gals; he is quite the gentleman.

You go tireddog! We are the adopters of Hops and as much as we would love to keep the friends together, we simply don't have the acreage for another horse with Arwen's foal due back here sometime next month. We too have older mares (Riota and Burgess Twin) and our kids adore Princess, not so much Riota as she isn't really the granny type. Perhaps I should look into trading Riota for another "granny" type horse...hmmmm
I will watch this carefully and maybe we can scrimp in a few bucks to help this girl out. I could never live with myself if this gal shipped...

The Cottage is rented as of this date, but you let me know if you want the Cowboy/girl Cabin or the Yurt, the date, and I will have the fire stoked and something good to drink poured and ready! I think a CBER gathering here would be magical. And if Chel and I can get our little tuches moving, we can build some corrals for those who bring their horses (although a weekend away with no feeding or poop scooping might be what some need/want).

If there are any gaps in bail, board. travel, etc. let me know, hubby and I can throw in $50. Just let us know. I am sooo happy for you tired dog. Hops (now known as Hobbs) is doing better. He hung out with us today at the barn and was very sweet. He still is trying to figure things out...he eagerly went into a stall but didn't like it when we shut the door on him so he and Pez may not have been in a stall before. It sounds as if Pez is just as sweet as Hobbs and you are going to love her!

AWAITING THE ARRIVAL OF BOTH PEZ AND ALESHIA!
I just spoke with Sharon Linarez, and they have left Yakima. The ladies loaded easily and are on their way home. I will keep you all updated on their progress. Thank you again for freeing these lovely girls from the grips of the reeper. (Not to be dramatic, I am following the Halloween theme).
