BAIL: $725
10 - 13 years old, 14.3h, appy mare. She was friendly and easy to catch once she was separated from the other horses. She was willing on the ground but did not appear to know much in regards to respecting space and responding to pressure. She picked up her feet but it took a while for her to understand what was being asked. We were told but do not know firsthand that she is green broke. WE were told that she was ridden and while she does not know much she did not try to buck. Again we have not seen this with our own eyes. From handling her on the ground we did not feel she was candidate for bareback riding. The FLO tried her as a saddle horse and she did not pass, not that she was bad just not trained enough to sell as a high dollar saddle horse. She is very stout, well put together and was sound at time of assessment.
4/21 UPDATE:
Upadte 4/20/07 Pebbles was a little leary about being ridden but once she got used to the feeling. Responded quite well. She new how to neck rein but will need some work on that, she responded to leg pressure well. She tossed her head a little when asked to back and turn, but did what was being asked of her. This is a nice solid built mare that has loads of potential for any discipline! Sound at second assessment.
Questions? Contact Heidi @ CreeksideAQHA@aol.com (yes, I think she'd look great w/ the rest of your herd too!) Submit your adoption application at: www.columbiabasinequinerescue.org/DEF-AppPre.asp
