5 - 7 year old, 15.1h, blue eyed paint mare. Sweet Pea was curious and liked being around people. She was gentle and easy to handle on the ground. She is a large stout mare with correct conformation. She is straight legged and her feet are in pretty good shape. She lifted her feet willingly. From the way she handled on the ground I would tend to think she is trained, however I do not know. We will have her ridden as soon as our riders can make it to ride, no promises made before next shipment. UPDATE:Per Sam... i am interested in adopting sweet pea, but must do some fund raising of my own. i am in southern california, have been approved by application,and have 2 1/2 acres in which my other rescues romp.any advice. thanks CHERYL

Yay! I also had heard that she has an adopter, but I won't change the heading for little while...I have worries about jinxing the deal!

Hi Cheryl- glad to see you checking up on Sweet Pea again...Yes, CBER needs the QT funds too...we have the Angel Fund available, you can borrow money from it if you need to and repay the Fund in installments.

I have a local teen who is VERY interested in this mare...
She has lots of experience with horses. but has no funding.
Not sure she 'could' do an app, she is under 18, and lives with my friends family due to poor personal family situation...
I'm grappling with figuring a way to 'sponsor' her... (help the teen)
own the horse myself... let her 'lease'?
I can't pay for her... but she has some donors...
any thoughts... help me out here....

Some one needs to contact Sweet Pea's placement specialist, Deb L. - I believe she has the latest update on her. And it might be a good one.
