THESE ARE NOT CBER OWNED HORSES. They were bought at a sale by a private party and CBER was contacted to list them and help find an approved home for them.

Bay yearling draft cross filly. She is standoffish but not scared, just wary. This girl is going to be a looker when she fills out and gets cleaned up. She's got great bone on her and a nice body. She is wary, but not stupid. She could make an excellent all around horse

UPDATE ALERT! Duffy and another community rescue yearling filly (Mango) must be adopted by Thursday 9/7/06 or they will be taken to the feedlot. Duffy was placed but her home has fallen through, so she will also go to the feedlot on Thursday. Duffy is a bay yearling filly draft cross. Mango and Duffy were both rescued from the meat buyers at a sale by a private individual, these are not CBER sponsored horses, we are just trying to intervene BEFORE they end up at the feedlot!

cute face, any info on how far along she is with training? Halter, feet, etc?

Is there anyone who can offer this mare a home even temporarily where she can be halter trained? I really think the lack of halter training is hurting her adoptability. I posted some ads for her and she has had tons of hits compared to my other postings but no serious inquiries are resulting from these hits.

If there is a GA home available for this mare I'm willing to put in $20 towards her or I can loan someone the entire $350.

I would bring her home myself but it isn't right for me to do that when I occasionally have other people take care of my horses, who are not experienced with handling unhandled horses.

I wish I could halter train her , but I have never done it before
