I sent an email around to all the CBER folks to see if anyone had any news, but haven't heard anything yet...I hope someone knows SOMETHING!

I am afraid its quiet because people can't bear to look at the horses they think will ship tomorrow. Lord knows I've avoided these threads myself on occasion.

The Snoqualmie Pass near the lot is closed but there is apparently another pass that a feedlot truck could use...if I am correct, it is the White Pass, and it is open.

I had a good response to Heaven in ad and the person emailed me again after I sent photos that she was interested...I forwarded it to Tash and I hope she got it....this person could be the one to save Heaven.

Hi, I am still new to this board and would like to offer apermanent home to Heaven. I do not have transportation for her or the funds bail her out. I do have a draft friendly home where I can afford her care. I just really would like to save her. I emailed her PS already, filled out application and sent pics and am now waiting a reply. Any suggestions on where/how to get the $ to save her and get her to me in Stanwood, WA?

This is what I do:
Go to their website: Columbia Basin Equine Rescue, then there should be a yellow donation button. Make sure you specify what horse it is for, if it allows you to do so. Also, to cover ALL bases, email their accountant, Marlene at [e-mail] and let her know that you have made a donaiton for Heaven. Also, send a email to Heaven's PS (placement specialist) and tell her the same thing. Her name is Tash Johnson at: [e-mail]

After you click on the donate button, on that screen or the one after you fill in the donations amount, on the left hand side it says something like "additional instructions", that's where you can type in the name of the horse you'd like to donate to.

Ok, Thanks for the clarification. I will call Nancy on her cell phone once I get an answer from CBER. I am hitting up friends and family for help with some $ towards Heaven. I have to go to the barn for a while. I will be back to see what is happening with her. I really feel for this horse. I hope everything comes together.

I just spoke to one of my references from my application and was told they called her this afternoon. She was told to have me email the PS. I thought I did, but I will again. Once I get the approval I will call Nancy K and talk about the fund. Fingers and toes crossed I get approved!!!!
