Rocco- Age ?- 13+h- Large Pony
Post by lisiedee on Jul 20, 2006, 8:38am
I've been approved to give Rocco his new home, but I'm going to need to pay for his transport and all of the initial vet care, so I'm just not able to bail him right now. If you're willing to donate to spring him, he will love you forever! (and who could resist that adorable pony face? *grin*)
I promise to send regular pictures and updates to anyone who wants to help! I'm so afraid the truck will come...

PaintedLady and NanciK,
If you would prefer, you can pull back your donations and send them to my Paypal account, or we can see what happens this way. I have sent Heidi a message regarding Rocco's funding, so I'm hoping to hear back from her soon. If you decide to Paypal me, PM me and I'll send you the User name.

lisiedee ~ My donation was sent this morning to CBER Pull Fund with Rocco's name, and I prefer to let CBER handle the funds.
Here's a tip: every time you send money to CBER, email the PS to let them know what you did, how much and when. Be sure to put the info in the SUBJECT LINE, since they may not have time to read the details. For example, "$50 SENT VIA PAYPAL TODAY FOR ROCCO", and attache the PayPal receipt if possible.
On truck days, when life-and-death decisions and negotiations are being made on the fly at the feedlot, you want that PS to know EXACTLY where the finances stand on your horse.
It's just a little insurance policy, but I've made it my practice for several months now.

NanciK...this is good.
PaintedLady..maybe if you just send Heidi an e-mail and let her know that you sent money for Rocco...that would be best this time. I totally trust Heidi and know she'll do what's best for Rocco!

Per Heidi:
If you organize people to fund his total amount, ( and you can put some in too) you can each send a separate donation to the CBER store donation site and in the special instructions or notes section, put the name of the horse and who it is for and the PS name. this way the horse will be bailed when his full amount is reached and he can go home with whoever organized this or agreed upon person.
For example: say horse Joe is $500, you get 5 people ( or however many it takes) to send in a specific donation to the CBER donation thread with that horses name and your name as the one getting the horse, that way you each do not have to collect any funds and everyone who donates gets a tax slip and you do not ahve to worry about repayment as it was set up ahead of time. The only clause's are that there are no refunds or "moving" of funds to another horse once donated and that if the total amount donated is over the actual adoption fee of the horse, the rest goes into the general fund. Make sense?

Heidi says we have a total of $160 through the CBER store and $50 sent via Paypal...so that's $210 so far! She's keeping track for us and has asked that anyone who donates send her an e-mail to let her know how much. Also, please send all donations through the CBER store under a "One Time Donation" with Rocco's name on it.
I sure hope we can spring this cutie!
