Merlt's mom was a peruvian believe it or not, Th efarmer where he came from sent me a picture of her. His dad is a mystery as the farmer bought him at an auction already bred. But we all figure his dad must be a TB or some kind of warmblood type. River's mom is 1/2 perch 1/2 standardbred. His dad is a registered Quarter horse, a bay 15.2 hand man. Charbay is a 3/4 TB and 1/4 perch girl, she is a handful. Here is a pic of Merlot's mom www.grovestreet.com/jsp/onepic.jsp?id=592834Here is a pic of Rivers mom www.grovestreet.com/jsp/onepic.jsp?id=592833At one pint we were thinking about buying their mom's as this was a pmu farm that was cut in 2003. But we didn't have enough money at the time and we ended up buying Charbay then Bronson showed up. I still feel quilty at times because who knows what happened to those mares. The farmer does take horses to auction, I have his address but am afraid to find out. He had a lot of horses. In all reality We probably are not experienced enough to handle either mare, but the peruvian could possibly have had some training, seeing how she ws bought at an auction. Charbay was bought from the Sanway Farm in Canada, She should have another full sibling this year!
