Here are the two little fillies we adopted from Wyoming, during the last BLM online adoption. They are both about 9 months old. Dad is kinda interesting! They seem to like his hair! Yum, yum! This place has good grub! Hey, Mom's camera bag is kinda interesting, too! They are VERY curious. Sunni came over to say "hello"...then he decided he didn't LIKE THEM anymore!!! How could he NOT LIKE this cutie pie face? Or this one?

You know, it really IS nice! With the 2 girls, Beauty, and Merryana, both being red, and my gelding, who is a bay turning BLACK, it IS nice to have some horses with color!!! Of course, we LOVE them ALL!!!

Here are some pics from this last weekend. The little roan, Scout, got her first training lesson from Angi...she needs a little attitude adjustment (very pushy already). The palomino I named "Cali" for "California Gold". She is very sweet. Looking at the other horses. Hey, where are OUR APPLES? Cali and Sunni Nosey Sunni and Beauty

Here are some pics of Scout, the little buckskin. I didn't have my camera with me (DUH!) when Angi was working Cali, the palomino...but here are some pics of little Scout and Angi. Scout had NO PROBLEM going over the "scary" tarp...no big deal...."ho hum" Here she is doing circles with Angi...again, no big deal. She did EXACTLY what Angi asked her to do! First saddle pad...again, no big deal. She was very calm. Okay, okay. Angi gave her a bath and she promptly ROLLED in the dirt! Then, Sunni and Gigondas decided THEY needed to roll in the dirt, too! Pretty soon everyone was DIRTY!!!

Update for Cali and Scout: Both are doing well. Scout now stands still and "allows" me to brush her all over. Comes up for scratches. Cali always loved people more than other horses! She's always been very friendly, while Scout has been the wary one. Hubby can now halter her without much fuss.

Ah, I see they've already got their winter woolies on! What cuties they are! I'm very proud that my niece is finally letting the halter near her!

OH these two are so gorgeous!! I have always wanted to do adopt from the BLM. I am still hoping one day it will work out. Great eye for some nice horses. I love color. It is a joke at the barn where I board. I have an appy and bucksin paint. Keep us updated.
