Daffey- 7 y/o-TB/Draft cross Mare

Daffey is a TB/Draft cross mare. She is possibly pregnant. We attempted to look at her teeth but could not. We guessed her age to be about 7. She is 15hh. Because she had not been handled much we put her into the bucking chute in order to evaluate her. She was level headed and responded well to touch. She did not attempt to kick, bite, or strike while we were handling her. This mare has a sweet disposition and just needs the right home to give her plenty of attention and love.

Daffey: Approx 7 year old Bay Draft X TB mare - PREGNANT! Daffey is not broke to ride nor is she yet halter broke. Due to her condition and pending foaling date, we did not want to stress her out by teaching her to halter, lead and tie at this time. Daffey is very sweet and curious and has a kind eye. She just needs love and patience to bring her around. Must be CBER approved for adoption. Gift Contract to approved home. Located in Yakima WA. Contact CBER to fill out adoption application. Call Kay at 206-218-2548 for more information.

I can't believe no one wants this sturdy girl! I almost adopted her outright when I saw her, but had vet bills for the arab after she came and didn't have enough afterwords. Someone? She is AMAZING!

I think Daffey is one that I'm going to be really upset about if she ships...the thought that she might be pregnant and that baby trashed is unthinkable to me.....

I hear ya cybercat, she is a looker, and thinking there might be another innocent live going with her, is just soooooo sad.

This is such a frustrating situation. I've talked to many people about her. Many were interested until we discussed the fact that she might be pregnant or the fact that she is full grown and unhandled (the unhandled/full grown part seemed to be the bigger deterrent). Anyone out there who is willing to do some ground training with her? If she had a home even temporarily that could do some ground training for her it might make a huge difference.

I'm really worried about this girl, she's been at the lot for quite a while, and she is a big girl.
I can help a little bit with bail, but not much this time. I'm sorry.
But I would love to see this girl get off the lot save.

Daffey is really close to trusting people. She walked up to me while I was at the lot and came within 12" of sniffing my shirt. Very curious, ears up, definitely looks pregnant. Still healthy, no sniffles, someone should take a chance on her. she needs a break. Contrary to the photos on her link, she is straight legged in both front and back.
