Bronco is one of the strongest horses I have ever had and have ever met. He is a big 15'3'' 16'0'' hand horse. Dark bay in the summer and light brown in the winter. He is 10 years old and so brave.
He has come along way to get where he is. An abused race horse that would not run, turned to the rodeo as a bronc, then abandoned as he could not cut it. He is a tall thin horse. The vets say he will most likely never gain much weight but he is getting there.
He was sent to a rescue and then sold to my dad Ken Baze. Then was brought home to me as a birthday present. Best present I ever got. When I saw him I saw a scared thin baby.
My mom said, " what a ugly horse" and to take him back.but
my dad and I saw potiencal in him.(sorry bout the spelling) He was scared of me at first but day and night I sat with that horse, talking to him.
Bronco finally came round. The first time I put my saddle on him he crow hopped but I understand why he did that. He got used to it and figured out he was in a home that was not going to give up on him.
He is now a barrel racer, roper, and soon to be a pony horse for the race tracks. During races that racer comes back to him, so he's got to learn to calm down a bit. But he IS learning, and he does crow hop every now and then but only when he gets excited. He is just one of those 'have to ride every day' kinds of horse. I will get some pics of this boy when he comes home from montana.
The sad thing is I might have to sell him if I can find a place to board him here in Spokane.
