I "found" another $41 for this horse, so we basically need $300 now, she has a home offer.

I was just on the Tim Woolley board and there is some misunderstanding over how to donate. If it could be explained, these people are amazing at raising funds FAST!

the very fastest way is to tell people to get to the CBER website and donate by credit card. Make sure they put the name of the horse on the bottom of the donation transaction in the box that says notes....
I don't have the Wooley link, so can you do it?

people can also donate by following this link to the CBER Store and making a credit card donation...in the comments section at the bottom of the transaction, you can put the name of the horse that the donation is intended for... www.easycartsecure.com/CBER/

PEC is posting on their board. I don't belong to their board, just read it several times a day. They are always willing to help with money as long as a horse has a place to go. These Fans of Barbaro are amazing.

Depends on the mare, Paintedlady! My first experience was with a P-I-A Mustang mare who was beating my gelding up daily for entertainment (she was smaller, too), and would kick our run in shed to pieces in the process. She also paced constantly, trying to get to where she could see other mares across the way. We finally decided that she was just not happy with us, and found her a new home (only 3 miles from us, and we visit) with several other mares and a much larger pasture. She has been happy as can be there, and hasn't given the new owners even a bit of trouble. She hasn't gone after any of the other horses, even quit pacing. It was just being in a fairly small pasture with a useless gelding that was setting her off. It just wasn't what she wanted.
Sierra (our CBER rescue), on the other hand, has been a total peach. She and Pal get along great, she is never bitchy, snippy, or pushy, and loves attention. They play buck-snort together, and cuddle when it is cold. Sometimes you just never know how things will work out until you try.

This little mare is 5 now and is a sorting cow horse now ?? not really sure exactly what that means. anyways I bought her summer before last and had her at a trainers for 3 weeks and everything (seemed ) fine so we took her to my sisters where my other horse and her 2 horses are. We kept her seperate but she could see the other horses. my sister called one day and said your new horse tried to kill me today. she laughed it off and so did I. WRONG!!! We went down that weekend and I took her out and let her graze for awhile everthing still fine. We were going to ride on the beach later. I put her out in pasture by herself and let her go and walked over to check water bucket. Thats all I remember until I woke up at the hospital. 2 cracked ribs, broken shoulder and my face plowed up the field. She hit me like a train and knocked me down put her knees on my back and pushed me like a doll. long storey short. I WAS TERRIFIED OF HER. From then on no one could handle her. she was vicious. I sold her to a girl who I told every single thing I could about this horse and she still wanted her. Now she sorts cows but is still very mean. once you saddle her and get on she is a dream. go figure WOW !! Boy do I feel better got to finally vent sorry for babbling on
