Used to go all the time as a kid, my grandpa always bought horses there. Some were great, some were a little nuts, and some were lame. All of them were loved and had a long term home. My husband wont let me anywhere near the place. Its probably a good thing I have forgotten how to get there.

LOL! You aren't the only one who's husband forbids it. The one and only time I went (No honey I won't buy a horse ) is how my husband is the proud owner of a beautiful 14h Arab gelding (my husband is 6'4") who walks funny and is blind in one eye. On the other hand, subtracting the fact I almost ended in divorce - this horse was the BEST purchase I ever made in the equine world!

I went today and the prices were low! One horse went for $65.00 some went for $100.00 most went for around $400.00 or so. I know 2 people that bought horses for $100.00 and the other for $450.00. It was quite sad, the horse that the king county humane society has removed were there. They are in great need of care, they have yet been released to any rescue and are in need of care now. I think everyone needs to call them. They areon the concrete area, Cold and one little filly was unable to get up on her own. A nice man got a blanket and was out there for over 2 hours till himself and 3 others lifted her to her feet. Myself one of them. Please call king county and make them turn them over to a rescue its wrong for them to be there still. It was nice to see all of the cber ladys there! PIC ADDED BY PEC

Any go to slaughter? I was only there for a short time. Did you see the paint horse out back with the disgustingly overgrown feet? Poor baby! Makes me so sad that people don't take care of their animals!

I heard the same about the impounded horses from Animal Control.
So AC impounds for neglect. Puts them at an auction with no medical care and the foals are dying. Does that then make them guilty of neglect?
The horses are then auctioned of to a kill buyer if they live.
THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!!

WTF? That is so incredibly messed up. How can AC get away with that? What is the point of even having AC involved if they aren't responsible and have the animal's best interest at heart? Is AC so powerful they can get away with this bs?
I say it's time to get the media involved.

They had LOTS of hay, and I know that they were going to get the foal taken care of when the auction was over, but he was so far gone that I don't think that it would have been humane to try and save him. The mare had abandoned him, and if the mom isn't going to pay attention to him then even she knew that he wasn't going to make it. I felt sorry for them, but They had so much hay and everything that they wouldn't stop eating!! I know that Ron the auction owner rents the property to AC and he helps take care of them. There was a girl that works with safe there trying to get ahold of them to get that foal out of there.

Ok so i called today, they are the horses that were removed from snohomish county. I was told some bull $hit story of the laws and so on and so forth. So i asked why no vet care not even a feed program, offered to help. Was told they would take my name and #. So i gave it and let them know Ac needs to do there job. HMM also let her know that the media is eating this kind of $hit up. Told her i was returning there today to check on the foal. I have pictures lots but cant figure out how to post them.

One thing is to watch who is bidding, or watch who Ron nods to, or listen to what number they go to. All of the 200's are reserved numbers.
