No, he isn't. My dad is taking an air-brush painting class and one of the people in it was talking to my dad about horses and that he was trying to selling the last one they had and so we went to see him and just fell in love. Hopefully the next lovely horsey will be from a rescue. I'd love that.

So, I went out yesterday to see Beamer at Ruben's with my dad and when we pulled up I saw a horse that looked identical to my boy with a saddle on, standing perfectly still. Well, low and behold, the magical BEAMER was saddled and waiting for us to show up!! A few minutes after showing what he could do on the ground, Ruben hopped right on up on him and rode him around a little at a walk and had him doing forehand and backhand turns and sidepassing!!!!! I'm so excited to go see him again soon!! I'm so proud of this boy! He's being such an angel for Ruben And he was so cute with his bushy forelock LOL

I went to see him today and he was a very good boy. He is really starting to get the feel for having someone on his back and has really got his balance back! Ruben asked us if we knew if he'd ever been in a pasture before with other horses, which was probably when he was a baby, but not recently. We asked why and Ruben told us that they put a little pony in with him (it's literally half as tall as him) and he was COWERING in the corner. *sigh* He has gotten better, but this little pony is terrorizing him! When we showed up today, he had a cut over his eye that was still had a little fresh blood coming out, but he is 100% fine. Ruben was very pleased with his work today, and he will soon graduate from Round Pen 101 to the Big Boy Arena very soon. Proud mama here!! I was going to take pictures today, but as soon as I started to, my stupid batteries died. But, I promise to get some next Saturday. Happy Trails, Dusty

No new pictures....of course we forgot the camera again. I rode today, on a different horse, to get ready for when I can ride my boy! I had a lot of fun with it and I didn't realize how much I've missed riding these past few months. Beamer did amazing. He was in the actual arena today. He walked, trotted, and cantered easily and had some fun in the mud.... LOL he does NOT like the mud at all. I cannot wait until i go out there next time. I won't get to go these next two weekends
