seattle.craigslist.org/tac/pet/530725393.htmlI sold two horses to a lady named CATHIE HOTCHKINS from GIG HARBOR in March, 2007 on contract to pay in full by April 15th, 2007. When the day came to pay, she said she didn't have the money. I tried to work it out but she eventually ignored my emails.....so I have filed a small claims in Oct/07 and when my server went to serve her, as it goes to court in a few weeks, he said the home is empty, no horses and there is a repo note on the door from the bank. A friend made mention that maybe she dumped these horses at an auction or rescue or something....so if anyone has seem them please let me know!!! The mare is on foal and due in Feb/08. I am to get the foal back under contract. First is a 1992 TB mare, 16.1 hh and a light bay...pictured below. She has a crocked back leg but is not lame, her registered name is ISABEAN and goes by DOLLY. SHOULD BE HEAVY IN FOAL. Second is a 1992 Arabian gelding, 15.2 hh and is a flea tick grey. I do not have any pics on him that I can find. His registered name is HAJIL EL MERCEDES and goes by MURCURY. She does not have the papers on these horses, I do, but does know all there registered info as that was on the contract. She needs to be found and if anyone knows of this lady please contact me. She is know for selling new tack and I believe has QH's and a QH stud standing.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh! I missed the CL part. I'll still keep them in my prayers, and I hope she went the police/Net Posse route. I've seen many such scenarios on Net Posse. Em They are not mine. I know the person. This was an ad she put on Craig's List.

We have a neighbor who moved in a few months ago from Gig Harbor and they breed QH's ... Does the lady also breed dogs?

These lessons come hard and we need to keep educating folk that the horses pay the ultimate price for people's impatience, or whatever it was... But - Skinny is better than 'canned' ! She was lucky to get them back- maybe she won't be so ready to go for the buyer without references or the 'quick sale' next time and screen her buyers better. When the 'buyer' didn't have the payment on time (BIG RED FLAG) she should have gone immediately and got them back... if a buyer can't pay for them in this market she probably couldn't feed them either.

OMG, first, to have such good news, thank God above for the sake of those horses, what a huge relief!
It's so sad to hear they're in such bad shape. I'm sending hope and prayers for their rehabilitation.
It's mindblowing, the networking on RO -- Sunlightslady, I'm *stunned* that it was actually *your neighbor* -- I would think finding any horses would be like looking for a needle in a haystack, and then, there they were -- at your neighbor's. Wow!
