For those of you who don't know her story, here is the short version of CBER Linda's story: She was on the feedlot in December '05 and came to Palo Alto, California in January 2006. She had no ground manners and no brakes and no steering under saddle. She was quite the project. Around June/July, she started to look a little "hay-bellyish" so I figured she was adjusting quite nicely to the good life. The hay belly never got bigger nor did it go away, so just to be sure, I had our vet come out to check on her. Sure enough, she was indeed "with child" and we thought she had approx 4-6 weeks left before foaling. I began making arrangements to move her to a more suitable place for foaling. Two days later I got a call from my barn manager saying she had foaled out in the pasture! The bigger surprise was meeting her new baby and discovering he was a mule! The baby is now weaned and Jamaica is once again learning how to behave under saddle. This show was a big deal for us since we have been through so much in a short time. I wasn't looking for a show horse when I was adopting her, I just wanted to save her life. I sure got lucky!

Doubly lucky! Now, come on jen. Show all the new folks a pic of that beautiful mule baby! We haven't seen that gorgeous hunk in a long time! Perhaps you could put a pic on the other thread too!
