Rosie Rae the Great passed over Rainbow Bridge.... « Thread Started on Sept 14, 2007, 9:57pm » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I came home today to find out that Little Miss Rosie laid down under her favorite tree and couldn't get up. She had been thrashing around and her eyes were glazed over....My FIL and husband decided she was suffering, she couldn't get up....so they put her out of her misery. It was instant....My husband buried her under a huge Maple tree, she loved to lay under trees so he figured that would be a perfect place for her....Bless her little heart, she had been doing so great the last few weeks...she hadn't picked up weight wise, but was moving around really well and getting into mischief. She is out of pain now, and able to run with the big herd in the sky...something she hadn't been able to do for who knows how long....She will be greatly missed, she was such a character!!! For those of you who do not know Rosie, she was brought in last spring with 3 other rescues. She was severely emaciated, covered in ticks and lice and had a horrible case of white line/founder issues. She also had a broken pelvis and a leg out of socket....

I love that face. She looks so sweet and what a beautiful mule. I am so sorry that you lost her; can't believe that anyone would have allowed her to suffer like she did before you got her. Thank God she had you to love her before she left this earth. Pam
