Well, after nearly a year of boarding my guys and searching for and finally renting a farm, Eduardo and Bert came home yesterday.
Eduardo and Bert had never met before. I was nervous that they wouldn't get along, because Bert has had issues in the past. Nothing to worry about, they took up like old friends.
They spent the afternoon getting to know the neighbor's mini, and running and skipping around the corral. Bert has sort of a rabbit run, with his two legs landing and pushing off at the same time.
It was lovely to go out to the barn this morning, and feed my horses and get mugged for cookies. I have never lived with horses before. I've always wanted to, but never had a chance, and now at 37, it's awesome! I am sure that mucking out and fixing fences will get old, but right now I'm looking forward to fixing the slightly sagging pasture fence tonight, so I can turn them out tomorrow!
Thanks for letting me share- B

It's SO wonderful that you are finally able to live with your horses. There's nothing better than going out to feed after a long day at work and having your equine kids waiting to greet you. CONGRATS!!

Congratulations, that is awesome. I couldn't imagine not having my boys at home anymore. Despite the mucking stalls, fixing fences, getting yelled at for feeding 5 minutes late, etc. It's the best thing sitting in my backyard on a weekend morning with my coffee, watching the peacefulness in my pasture!!! ENJOY!!!!

So happy for you!!! I agree, there is nothing in the world like looking out your window and seeing them. I would live in the barn before giving up having them with me!! And I think you will find it is well worth all the work- CONGRATS and ENJOY!! We'd love to see pictures.
