The current owners have not been able to catch him for two years. He tries to attack when you approach his food. They have never been able to get him in a trailer either. An 18 hand unhandled stallion.

This sounds like a hand full...Will take a strong trailer and fence to hold him...

Sounds like a disaster waiting to happen... There is just no excuse this horse should have been guelded years ago and worked with. With his size it is going to take someone with alot of experiance to deal with him. The aggression issue is scary. I have a perch mare that is well over 17 hh and if she were agressive she could cause major damage.

I think I'd rather see us take up a fund to have a vet come, dart him and euth him myself... I can't see a boy that large, with gonads still, and already agressive doing anything but finding slaughter... we don't want someone getting hurt... and we can at least keep him off a truck. Can you imagine that big and that agressive on a truck with momma's and babies?

Lord. Our 16 hand Paint/Draft is also unhandled, and is a real pain. I don't go in there without my Parelli stick. Fortunately, she is not food aggressive, so at least we have that working in our favor. I can't imagine dealing with a horse like this boy. He is going to need an experience draft trainer.

yeah, well... I guarantee you Chuck would not hesitate to beat him , and hot shot him until he DID get ont that slaughter truck... knees bent, he wouldn't care... just so he got on. I see this as potentially dangerous... and in the end the horse will pay for it. and with so many gentle, kind horses who need a home going to slaughter, we might be of the most help just helping the owner find another way 'out' of this situation...

This is really a pity - Jerry Tindell or Charles Wilhelm could turn this guy around. Too bad the owners didn't get training for him.
