Buddy is a 6 year old mustang gelding. He was given to me free and that is the way that he is going. FOr starters he needs a lot of work. He is friendly and he is very willing, but he is very nervous. I think that he was beat because he is very standoffish of people unless you have something to offer him. I have worked with him, and he is very trustworthy. He does not want to hurt you in the least bit. Once you catch him he is s totally different horse. In the pasture he runs unless you have some persuasion. He is halter broke, but he likes to pull away and run free. We started tying him to a tree and this quickly dissipated but then I stopped working with him, and it returned. I have been on him twice, and all was well. The only problem that I had with him was that he got scared of the trees and took off running. He is going to be a great horse, he just needs someone who is patient and very willing. Out off all my horses he is one of my favorites just because he has a great personality and he trusts me very much!!!! He is the kind of horse who would bond to you and would do anything for you. His only problem is that he is very spookish. If you were to pony him around I think that he would do great. He just needs to get out and see the things around him. He needs to be worked with every day until he gets over this!!!! I want hin to go to a good house that can afford to take care of him!!! He is very healthy and his feet are trimmed!!! Like I said he needs a lot of work but I gurantee he will be worth it!!!! He will not go as a slotter horse and he wont go to a person who is gonna turn around and sell him, im looking for the long run!!!! He is sound and ready to start!!!!!
