I just heard about this event, www.horsearounddays.comIt's being held in Mount Vernon in July. They are looking for representatives of equine rescue organizations. |

They're providing free space to breed demonstrators. I bet they'd provide it to rescuers too. Where is Mt. Vernon?

Mt. Vernon is about 1 1/2 hours north on I-5 from Seattle.

This is on their site: Equine Rescue, we want to have equine rescue represented at the event to bring awareness abandonment and abuse issues.

I am within 30 minutes of there and would love to be involved.... if I am still in this area. I am hoping to be relocated to N Idaho by then. So it's hard to for me to commit to it at this point but it would be a great opportunity for the cause- there are alot of great horsepeople in this area.

Yes they will provide space, we were in contact with them prior to me leaving CBER and then all the events got put on hold (except the ones we had already paid for) so if you guys want to do it the gal that runs the Horse Around days is very nice and was very excited to have horse rescues come there. Email her on the website she will give you all the info. |
