Lincoln is in the Sierra foothills, east of Sacramento, California.
"Cherokee is a 24 year old Quarter Horse gelding. He has been used as a therapeutic riding horse for neurologically disabled children at Ride To Walk in Lincoln, CA. We are expanding our program and need younger, stronger horses (currently operating 4 hrs/day, 4 days/wk). We play all sorts of games on him including ball, puppets, and go over obsticles. We also take him on short trail rides around our lake with ducks flying overhead and bunnies jumping in the brush. He is safe and gentle. Looking for someone to ride him lightly and groom him. He would be a great leadline or childs horse. He is current on dental work, vaccinations, and deworming. He eats grass/alfalfa hay and is supplemented with some grain and glucosamine supplements. He is a hardworking horse that has served the community and is now looking for his turn at individual attention.
