Ive got a job this summer training a couple horses for a friend
Ive worked with drafts but primarily Perch. Does anyone know anything about Belgians? or of any good sites where i can do some research....i havent had the best of Luck finding any good sites myself and didnt want to bug a breeder.
Shes 4 yrd old, been saddled, had a circingle(sp?) and grown driven. Is excellent when working with her feet and is just a big ol teddy bear in personality.
Thanks in advance

A horse is a horse is a horse...............work with her the same way you would work with any other breed.........they all need the basics.

I agree - drafts are drafts Good groundwork makes a solid foundation to transition into riding and driving. If she is going to be a driving horse - make sure her foundation is solid and that she knows basic driving commands - Gee - Ha - side - back- one up -ect. Personally I think it is good for ALL horses to know to drive. If she is kind and gentle she shouldn't have any issues with training. Sara in WA
