Hi We had 4 baby birds that fell out of there nest and one is still alive. I have feed some baby bird food from the pet store. He is peeping and opens his mouth for the eye dropper. So any ideas on how often I need to feed. Thanks Joan

Get he baby to the nearest wild life rescue, they will know how to help the bird survive.
Time is of the essence.

Thank God for the Lindsay Museum (Walnut Creek)! I've been keeping an eye on a hummingbird nest in a nearby tree. Sure enough, one of the babies fell out of the nest. His sibling is considerably bigger so, instead of putting it back, I took him to the Lindsay Museum. The little guy is doing fine and his sibling gets bigger every day. The museum releases the birds in the area where they were found, so he/she will be returning home.

We were clearing some trees from our property, one had a nest of 4 woodpecker hatchlings. Before we cut this pine, we called the local bird rescue group, they came out and took the babies back to the rescue, hand-fed them, then called us 6 weeks later, we met back at the property and released them into their original habitat.
Last we saw, all four had flown up to and were clinging to the side of an adjacent pine tree (like woodpeckers do).
Happy ending!

We had a little bird decide to build a nest in one of our hanging baskets. There were 4 eggs, but only 3 babies in there now. They're growing like weeds. They're getting so big, I'm afraid they'll fall out of the nest, and one of my dogs for sure will get the babies if they do fall. It is fun to watch them grow though.

The baby was feed and watered and then off to Howl where he will be keeped with other birds untill he can fly. I think I need to place a big soft bed under that nest, she lost 1 last year. Im sure my cats would be more then happy to baby sit!
