I don't know about the rest of you - but at my place last night was like being in a war zone! Between the thunder and lighting I am not sure ANYONE got any sleep. At one point we counted at LEAST 11 strikes in 3 minutes time! Crazy stuff. I grew up in an area that would have massive summer thunder storms after several hot days - but I can say without a doubt - last night blew me away. My poor horses were flipping out in their stalls - so finally I shut down the barn doors, turned the mister fans on to keep them cool, and turned the stereo up fairly loud. Gave them their Amazing graze toys full of treats and hopped for the best. felt so bad for them. Needless to say -they are all crashed out asleep this morning! dogs too were a wreck last night and the cat wouldn't let me put him down lol. Anyone else get the extreme thunder and lighting last night? Sara

Wow! I'm in Bremerton and I heard a few blasts of thunder but that was about it. Amazing how different a few miles can be. I hope everyone's babies are good and safe this morning. :-)

It hit at our house about 4am, the horses did fine, but the poor dogs were nuts. My husband and I and two 65lbs labs in the same bed. Made for an interesting sleeping arrangement. Well, the dogs slept okay, I heard one snoring but I was wide awake. The lightning would light up our bedroom bright as day.

I'm about 20 minuted north of Vancouver and I finally fell asleep at 3 to be woken up at 4 by hail and it was so crazy I just got up, warmed up a cup of coffee and went out on the porch and watched it! My hubby is from Minnesota and we've gotten to enjoy rides like this before and it definitely compared! The last time I remember a storm that big roll through was about 10 or 11 years ago - WOOHOO! ;D

It is going crazy here at this moment. I saw lightning hit right across the street. My dog freaking out a little bit. I think I am going to put her in her kennel until this is all over. It is dark and dreary in A town it looks like it is about 9pm and it is 11 am. I hope that it is not like this tomarrow.

I'm from Minnesota, and I have never heard thunder like I heard last night! Truthfully, I thought I heard a plane crash last night, because I have never heard thunder last so long at such a volume. My bed had 4 cats, 2 dogs and a 10 year-old sitting on it at 3 in the morning. We were packed in there like a ship! No hail though just super loud thunder and rain. This is on top of the little lost coyote that woke up the whole neighborhood at 1 am. He was missing his pack, and was tiny. All the neighbors were out for such a crazy night.

Where abouts in Minnesota? My hubby grew up in Loretto about 30 miles west of the cities and his parents now live in New York Mills in northern Minn.
