Kind of, we are working on it. The gal that has him will wait a couple days for us to find boarding, but we are looking for boarding at the right price as of course we don't have an unlimited supply of funds (this was kinda unexpected and we just bought hay) so we need to find the best priced boarding place we can, that can facilitate a freshly gelded horse who has to much testosterone.

I got more info from the gal that has him, she outbid a guy at the Auction that sells horses to kill-buyers. He mostly buys drafts or draft crosses since he knows that he will get bigger money for them. He goes to this auction alot. Awhile back there was a spotted draft cross that came through the auction and she tried to outbid him on that one, she didn't, so she went to him and asked to buy the horse for double and he refused. So at this auction he knew she was bidding against him and then all the sudden he stopped, and she got the horse. She sounds like she wasn't real prepared to actually win the auction. They brought him home and she turned him out with her horses (even though he is a stallion) and of course he acted like a crazy man and then fought with her boyfriends Walker gelding. Then the next day he unlatched the gate and got out and ran through her yard and then jumped the ravine that is about 4 feet wide. But then he let her catch him. So sounds like they don't have the proper quarters to keep him and that is why they want him gone so fast.

OPERATION BELGIAN STALLION- saving a high risk guy.



OK guys I think this might work out. Here are the specifics if anyone wants to help it would be greatly apprieciated as we are a little strapped this month but don't want to leave the boy hangin' so we are pulling all the threads we can.

I found a place to Board him while he recovers from gelding it is $250.00 per month.

Gelding is: $200-300 ( to be done ASAP)

Fee to buy him : $450.00 (Includes delivery to his new boarding place)

Thank you Dean!! I just want to take a minute to say that Dean has been instrumental in saving of this guy too!! So thank you so much for your help & I bet he will be your best pupil yet when we get him up to you. Her horse heart is the biggest ever!!

The woodburn Auction, the next one is on 2/16. This guys sold there for less than 300.00. T francis has a list of who sold for what cause she was taking notes and saw him at the auction when they bought him.

I will bring the camera today fo his big unveiling. I am excited to meet him. We shall see how "studdy" he really is. I have a hunch he may have just been acting crazy since the gal let him loose with her other horses and a mare in season, since she says he is perfectly behaved in a pipe corral stall next to the other horses. I think he must of thought being turned out with a bunch of other horses and a mare in season was heaven, until it all turned to chaos.

Needless to say, the first phone call I am making after he gets here is to the vet for his snippy- snip!

Take some Vick's with you ;D Put a little under his nose. Stallions tend to concentrate on the weird smell and it helps to block mare parfume..hehe
