~ CROSS-POST FROM BAEN~ I've got a bad feeling about this one, for some reason...anyone near Fresno, CA who could check it out? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ NEW PRICE! Pretty Dark Bay Mare ONLY $550, $550, Mare, Bay, star, Age: 18, 15.1H, 1000 lbs, Foaled: 1990, This mare is very sweet, mellow with excellant ground mannors. Broke to ride. She has been shown at the local shows by a teenage girl. She has a wonderful loving attitude. She would make a good childs mount, trail horse or beginers horse. She has had 2 foals and is a good mom. My daughter just pulled her out of the pasture the other day and saddled her up and rode her in the round pen. She did not refuse anything that we asked of her. She had not been ridden in 3 years. She rememberd everything and was very well mannered. Not worried about her friends in the pasture and she was focused on my daughter. Ride English or Western. Loads, ties, bathes, stands for the farrier etc. She is up to date on shots and worming. Need to Sell. Only $550 Phone: 559-876-3836 Cell:559-285-6507 Website: WWW.McCoyFarms.comAD ID: 87655 Click here and search for Ad ID: results.bayequest.info/b001/showads.php?maintype=dt&subtype=1&mth=1&sdate=2006-05-03&type=2&adscatid=1&page=1

Okay, last time I responded to a CL ad I ended up with ANOTHER nut job OTTB.
So, will someone else please inquire about her? I agree with Nanci - I have a bad feeling about this too. She is located only an hour (maybe less) from Turlock and the infamous auction.
I owe my relatives in that area a visit (I am currently deeply in the doghouse with them) so if anyone wants, I can go see her for you. But, I CAN NOT TAKE HER! and I will if I initiate contact myself....

This ad has been posted on BAEN for a few weeks now. I, too, feel uncomfortable about this. There are so many out there these days . . . (sigh)!

Per the website McCoy Farms is obviously an appaloosa breeding farm. Yes, very interesting how a tb ended up in the mix. There is plenty to be wary of, IMO.

This farm is in Sanger, CA, which is known for it's TB breeding farms. My OTTB's dam was located at Olde English Rancho, in Sanger.
Not sure how this pretty TB mare ended up with the McCoy's.
Notice that they didn't even specify her breed in the ad? (But we can tell she's a TB at a glance...) She's just a "pretty dark bay mare".
