They have been posted before, but the price has come down. If anybody can give them a home, I'm more than happy to pay the $50.00 and go pick them up , and keep them at my house until they can find a transport. I just don't have the time/money to keep them. I wish I could, but I'm at my limit! Sorry to post them here, I just want to make sure they get exposure. sandiego.craigslist.org/esd/grd/749762409.htmlTwo Mustang Geldings - $50 (Lakeside) Reply to: sale-749762409@craigslist.org Date: 2008-07-10, 11:00AM PDT Two Geldings need to find a good home. okay, just talked to the owner of these 2 guys. Very nice lady, they are NOT in a financial bind to get rid of these 2 guys. She's got 4 in that age group and went back to work 8 months ago. They're downsizing because she doesn't have time to train all 4 at the same time. She wants to make sure they go to a good home, where they can live up to their potential, and get the training they need before they get to old. She's got 3 people come look at them today and tomorrow, one of which is breaking/training a mustang right now.
She said that she had about 6-8 people come look at them before and told them they can't have them for one reason or another. So she is really picky. I have a good feeling that she'll do everything she can to find them a good home. I offered to her that I could take them and help her find a good home if it comes down to it. She has my phone # and will call me if anything does come up, but I will also follow up with her next week, after she's had some people come by.
I will keep you all posted. Sorry for creating a panic here, but just saw them a few times posted and the price kept going down.... Thanks all for the concern.

I wish this one was $50. I don't want the saddle or the hay! Can't believe he's tied to a gate like that. humboldt.craigslist.org/grd/748415647.htmlHe probably won't go for $700, but I bet they'll get at least half that. Free or ridiculously cheap horses are rare in our area. The owner says she has the BLM papers, she's the 3rd owner and has had him for 4 months.

I just got a call from the lady with the 2 Mustangs, and NOBODY showed up to look at them. She sounded a lot more desperate to get rid of them than she did last week. So I wanted to throw this out again, to see if anybody is interested in taking them, if I go pick them up. She basically asked me if I could take them until they're placed...... I really can not keep them, as much as I would like. But again, I'll be happy to pay the $50.00 fee, and keep them at my place until they can go to their new home.

Well, picked up Buddy and Buster today. They're very nice looking boys. Buddy seems pretty high spirited, and almost a bit araby to me. He is really cute. Buster, is a nice sturdy Stang. They are from the Centennial Range, and were born in 2005. Both are really sweet, but Buster is definitely more easy going one. Buddy would very much benefit from having his own person that could spend time with him, and get his confidence up. Just a couple quick pictures right after they unloaded, I will go out and take more later. This is Buster on the left, and Buddy on the right And Buster

Buddy cracks me up. He absolutely LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Water. He keeps splashing in the water buckets, stands right in there and soaks his feet. He definitely seems to be the instigator, yesterday he and Buster were playing for the longest time, didn't know they had that much energy. At one time, Buddy literally put one leg across Busters front legs, like he was saying, now stand still, and then went on to play. I'm hoping they calm down eventually, they were both in a 24x24, and I think they just enjoy being able to run and play with eachother.

they are both just the sweetest boys. Everytime they see me walk out, they call. They just love attention and are very curios about everything. Merlin, Trevor, and Arrow got their toes done the other day, and my trimmer confirmed what I thought, they are way to high in the heel. So I'm going to see if I can get my regular farrier out and just trim them back.
If you know of somebody that is interested in a somewhat ground broke Mustang, feel free to pass my info on. I really can't keep these 2, they do need to get going with their training.

Buddy is turning into quite the character. It's funny to see him now, and when we picked him up. He would run around his pen, and not come near anybody for quite some time, it even took the previous owner some coaxing before he would let her near her.
He now comes pretty much right up to me if I call him, LOVES attention and scritches..... He even let me walk to the side today and scratch him down to his shoulder, he's still a bit apprehensive about it, but he tolerated it. I was also able to pick up one of the front feet, didn't have a leadrope, so he was able to walk off.
Buster let me pick up all 4 feet without a leadrope, he just stood there, he also let me rub all over him.
When I filled their water buckets, Buddy came up, and played with the water, next thing he picks up the hose and lifts it out of the water, just hosing himself down. He had the funniest "oh sh!!t" look on his face, dropped the hose, and trotted away. He is such a cute and funny guy, reminds me a lot of Trevor, very curious and very willing.

Somehow Buster got his halter off, and I didn't bother putting it back on. Well, yesterday when I went in the roundpen to feed, little goober snuck out behind me.
Wohooo, that was fun, running around with the big guys, having 3 acres to run and buck..... All I'm thinking is, "oh sh.t, how am I getting this horse back in the roundpen......
I tell you what though, that boy has some awesome movements, he's got an extended trot to die for, nice gallop. He is gorgeous, I was torn with running to get the video camera, and freaking out over getting him back in the pen. It took us about 30 minutes before we were able to coax him back in the round pen. He was having a lot of fun. And of course the arabs and Arrow running around with him, didn't help.
So today, I went in and worked with him on getting the halter on. He is such a cool horse. He'll be real easy to work with, very willing, very sweet.

LOL, I got a home offer yesterday for Buddy and Buster in AUSTRIA!!!!!
I was talking to one of my customers about them, she's learning about Horse Slaughter, and both her and her daughter ride.
Anyways, she offered to take them, if they weren't so far away...... Nice ;D

so I get home yesterday, and driving down my road, I see that the roundpen is empty.... well, Buster and Buddy decided they wanted to go explore, and fiddled with the latch on the gate until they got it open.... So here they were happily prancing around. All 5 of my other goobers were hiding out in the corner by the barn. My 2 arabs were PO'd as heck, Trevor was hiding behind Arrow, and Merlin was doing the occasional squeeling to let them know that he was the boss.
I left them out so they could go and stretch their legs, but went and grabbed my camera, I will post pictures when I get off work today.
They had so much fun, but when the food wheelbarrow came out, they followed me right back in the roundpen, no questions asked ;D

We got the toesies done ;D
Well Buster got all of his done. He was a really good boy, and my farrier said he was awesome to work on. Buddy, not so much. He got his front feet done, but didn't want to have anything to do with getting his back touched.....
Buster moves even more beautiful now.
If anybody can help finding these 2 a home, I would really appreciate it. I need to find them homes by the end of September, as I'm leaving town for almost the whole month of October, and I also just incurred some unexpected Vet bills, thanks to my little dog.

Buddy is roaning out big time on his belly and rump. He is such a sweet horse, and loves coming up for scratches. Buster is always right behind him, thank god for 2 hands.... I feel really bad that I can't give them more time, they both so want to be part of the crowd, and love when I come in and clean their paddock, and spend time with them. If you know of anybody that is willing and interested in taking on 1 or both of them, please let me know, or pass on my info.
