I can get great deals from Holland, but right now there are Freisians going for $7000 here in the States, But watch out, half the ads out there are Trina Kenney, and they are not real.

Yeah, there's someone in my town that wants to trade an 18 month old mustang AND a saddle that doesn't fit him (yes, they've saddled him) for a well-broke, young-ish, kids horse.

Lovely - A good friend in california has some of the most amazing friesians I have seen. She imported them and paid a HUGE price (6 digits kind of price) These are the real true breed standard kind of thing. The true Baroque friesians.
to see SOOOO many people taking horses that are not approved and don't rank and breeding them just because the market wants friesians makes me sad. I have seen alot of friesians recently that have terrible conformation or lack the temperment, mental stamina or whatever else that makes the breed - and people of course, are breeding them. and as much as I find cross breeds appealing, it is really taking away from the breed IMO.
I certainly can't see myself being in a position to pay 100K plus for a horse in this lifetime - and would LOVE to have my own wonderful friesian - but, when you see such a HUGE price gap between the top and what is out there on the market - you have to stand back and wonder.......
