LOL Angi kept telling me I was not going to be allowed to sell Sym's for less then 3K, then would laugh and say.. "but you aren't going to want to sell it!" LOL she's right, Sym is so much MY baby that I doubt I will ever be able to take Tryst away from her.

Was out checking everyone and when Tryst let go of a nipple it continued to shoot out a double stream of milk for over a minute! Guess I would have to worry about her not having enough ;D Tryst is filling in and has lost that tucked up still bent newborn look.

DeeDee didn't look scrunched up at all. Maybe those days she spent stretched in place waiting to come out. She came out up on her legs and not looking s much like a newborn.

What ever is in there is sure baking a long time. Vet keeps checking her and it's a kickin' ;D

Straw at 8.00 a bale is pathetic. I hate straw. I use pellets but always keep straw in for foaling. Can't keep the dang stuff clean like pellets so you have to completely strip the stall daily.

Tryst has already picked up her moms habit of sleeping in poop.. except Symphony makes sure it's pulverized first. I put shavings down for her in her favorite corner last week and she wouldn't go to it for two days!

They are both past that newborn not quite completely unfolded, need a bit more in the middle look. ;D and I think they just look better and better each day.

Deedee is still the firecracker, ready to blast you with both hinds.. but still just a threat so she has yet to be spanked for it She does kick the stall walls and mom when ever the mood strikes her

Tryst is such a sweetie. So shy she will sniff my hand and let me touch her face and then she moves away. Mom has her well trained already. She just tips her head in her direction and Tryst will back up to hide by moms rump, and she walks either by moms side or just forward enough mom can guide her with her head.

I let them back out into the big yard, and she was running in circles away from mom for the first time. :sigh: I just LOVE her!

Deedee has a very flashy trot, she breaks at the poll and steps out like she is the bees knees! But she can duck, dart, and jump too!

I THINK Tryst is a snidge taller but it's a pretty close call. Delite is shorter the Sym but just as wide. in fact look at Sym... she actually has withers!! (and a not so fatt butt) LOL

We've been running around getting the yearlings ready for Reno, so I've been bad about getting pics taken of Tryst and Deedee. We are also trying to get Delite to chill so the fillies can play together.

We swapped them tonight so Symphony is in the pen (20x44 but she will still be mad at me ) First we put both mares on halters and walked around the yard so the girls could watch each other run around and maybe play a bit.

Deedee did start to circle and run (Tryst already had played a bit before we brought Deedee out.) but Tryst didn't get sucked in... she did watch Deedee and at one point Deedee came over and stood by Sym (I think she got fat rumps mixed up.) Symphony was fine with her standing behind her and on her flank, and when Deedee checked out the milk bar all Sym did was swish her with her tail. Beth moved Delite closer and Deedee seemed to realize she was at the wrong mom and scooted away.

All in all it went pretty well. The camera batteries died before we put them together. so no joint pics but finally got a better look at them side by side. Tryst is only a smidge taller but defiantly more substantial ;D;D Deedee is so refined and perfecting her princess prance.

They are 10 days old.

Tryst almost 4 weeks, scabs everywhere, and over at the knees from growing so fast (no doubt which is the bigger girl anymore!)


Deedee is as cute as ever, friendly and full of spunk. =)
