As a heads up, I found some of the photos disturbing. They aren't really bad, but I'm such a softy so they got me.

Does Olley Olsen 'have a heart?'. He bought horses, then decided they were too nice to slaughter, so ran them back thru the auction and presumably, they brought more than HE paid, so he made a few quick bucks? I'm not sure just what happened there? Does he do that often? It's a way to make a quick buck. Maybe the other folk at the auction need to see a few go to the KBs before they're willing to step up and outbid them?

It's a ploy kill buyers use frequently. They will run a horse back through to either:
1. Get more money as the crowd knows it's off to slaughter 2. Sell it in the back and make more money than they payed 3. Load it in the truck and off it goes to slaughter

Since I am the one who bought the Filly (now named Bacardi). They (Mom, Baby and Yearling) were not sold as a pack. Bacardi was auctioned off separately after the bidding on Mom and baby was over. I bought her by bidding on her. The Mom and Baby were bid on as a pack, but nobody would buy them for $200. So Oly Olsen bought them and auctioned them again. The baby was sold for $180 and the mom was bought after the auction was already over from a lady directly from Oly. The only horse I bought from Oly was Moonshine. Oly bought him the day before in Oregon and they were kept in a separate pen in the back. Those horses never saw the auction ring in Enumclaw. But you can buy any horse from him if you can pay in cash. It is normally the price he paid. At least this is what I experienced.

The gal who bought the prego mare and I are in contact and I was the one who helped her to buy that sweet girl. Oly didnt want her and he honestly didnt jump in and bid on her he waited until no one else did. He sold her after the auction for less than 200 bucks
