I know this will be moved soon, but I posted it here due to the fact that are few Canadians on this board.
I went on a canadian horse rescue forum and saw a thread about free standardbreds on Vancouver Island, they are being given away right off the racetrack, their ages are 2-6 years old.
Any leftovers are being sold to slaughter.

I am just waiting to verify something. a gal phoned the number and the person on the other end was clueless, there is some more calling going on right now, I will post new info if it becomes available. I keep checking back to the other forum.
