Anyone looking to move down let me know - my family ranch in there Also - outstanding hay at around $175 a ton, AMAZING grazing as long as you have good irrigation - low taxes. COLD winters - HOT summers. Not sure where this place is - but Klamath area is a GREAT place for horses!!! Sara

Not sure where this place is - but Klamath area is a GREAT place for horses!!! Sara Klamath is close to the OR ali border on 97. Has a College and a BIG Lake, Ski resorts and lots of ex californians. Downtown is quaint but not ancient looking. We have waited there for faxed coggins/health papers before crossing the border. So I know there is a lovely block with T shirt shop and toy/hobby as well as a copy place that accepts faxes for you. ;D GREAT restaurant just outside of town for breakfast. I want to say Madelines but that sounds not quiet right to me.

That si the downtown area - farther in and the other direction you get into the langel valley, midland and more of the farmlad areas. VERY pretty area - looks alot like Wenatchee Washington. The lake is icky in the summer - lots of bugs and plenty of algea. Cell Tech is based there and harvests the blue-Green algea for it's products out of the lake. But - there is great fishing around the area and generally alot of good cow/ranch events to go to.
