I am happy to report that it appears all the horses will be saved. There is a rescue working with the lot owner and he has verbally committed to letting the rescue coordinate the purchase of all the horses. It is an amazingly well coordinated, professionally handled effort. I'm impressed by all involved.

Of course, I'm thrilled for the horses! It turns out 34 of the 40 mares are pregnant.
