Sigh. I finally found her, but the owner will only sell as a package deal with two younger Appys. I haven't room for the others, or I would take them all and rehome the younger ones. They want $900 for all three, and at that price, they aren't real safe from the kill buyers. Anyone up for some color? Heh, that is a typical foundation Appy trait....no mane, no tail. My Sierra got lucky, she at least got a good tail.

Sierra has Askhim and the girls look...He has shorter mane, but the long tail....You know all in the family... And sorry can't take anymore...Fat and sassy kids looking for homes..Only one appy in the bunch...

Only horse I was ever unseated on was an Appy. I was riding bareback on one of Uncle's Appys (my own horse at the time was a Morgan with lots of mane; I never put a bridle on him, he just went where you tugged). Appy startled, and I reached for....there was nothing there....so off I went. Got up spluttering about stupid equine genetics issues.
