NHR - please send jingles for my girl

My little dog got into it with a bigger dog yesterday, she was all bloody and could not put weight on her front leg when I got home yesterday.
Took her to the vet, and now she looks like Franken-dog, she got shaved around the wounds, and they stapled the worst ones up, she's still not putting much weight on the front leg, but the vet thinks she's just chewed up there, she seemed okay when he did the moving, but we'll keep an eye on her.
She is a tough little dog, so I know she's in pain when she is whining. She should be okay with time and love, it's just hard to see her in so much pain.

Now, will she learn from this? Most likely not, she is my older dog, and has always been very protective of me, herself, her space, and will go after anything she feels is threatening her or hers.......

Jingles for your poor girl! Bite wounds always seem to hurt the worst. Did they put her on antibiotics?

thanks guys, she is finally eating a little bit, and is trying to put some weight on her leg. She is on antibiotics, and some heavy duty pain killer, that seem to knock her out pretty good. She's just been staying by my side. I guess getting some love and attention from momma helps the most. ;D

she's doing much better, thanks. I took her off the pain meds, as they seemed to totally knock her out, and she seems to be not in to much pain anymore. Still on antibios, and back to trying to chase the horses off the fence.....
