I'm going to trap some cats at the Barn where I board, because the owner hates cats, and the alternative is him 'siccing' the dogs on them, or letting the teenage boys take pot-shots at them. ...... There's a young mom and 4 kittens about 3 months old. I'm willing to get them spayed/neutered, but I can't keep them. Otherwise I'll have them PTS.

So I've caught the Mom and one kitten, and will get them fixed this week. Anyone up in Oregon need barn cats......I'll transport them. The Bay Area is overflowing apparently- 200 cats in a 'rescue' operation in San Jose are taking all the Barn homes locally.

Let me talk to my husband. I just discovered the mice have gotten into my stock pile of grain again sigh****** All of my cats are strictly indoors, and I do have a road in front of my house. I had 2 cats that were barn cats, but the old guy that lives on our property let his dog out one day and he ate them (The dog was instantly PTS--this was not the first time). I have a large cage I can put them in to get them acclimated and calmed down. I would like to be able to give them their vaccines, monthly flea treatments and worm them......I have lived here for 15 years and have lost 1 cat to the road. The cats generally mosey on back to the huge field behind us and from their the possibilities are endless! It is pretty much a cat paradise! I am in Oregon though.....(South east of Springfield)

Let's hope he'll go for it.............even if you just take SOME. The Momcat I was able to stroke thru the cage and she didn't spook off........I suspect she's someone's cat that they dumped at the barn. She's getting spayed today- she's a Tuxedo- her black kitten will be done tomorrow.........and I'll trap the others this afternoon....let me know.

So the Tuxedo Mom is now spayed; and 2 of her kits are fixed- a black female and grey male- they're about 3-4 months old. There's one more tuxedo kit still at the barn.

Hi Barb, No, I still have them all- 2 girls- 2 boys..........I'm working on getting them handleable. The Tuxedo boy is the closest- he's really cute......mostly white, with a black nose pad.
