Well - with all the stress of my old man being sick and with work, john being out of town and everything else - I finally decided today that I needed to relax and have a break. So - I lunged my big percheron Kadin (19.2 2800 pounds)then decided to ride. He did GREAT. Although I have been riding him for a while he is still really green - his vision issue has made progress slow going when it comes to going outside of the known areas. WEll - today he did GREAT! We were able to finally trot full figure 8's without him dropping his shoulders, do full trotting and cantering circles without dropping the shoulders and falling out - sounds silly, but for a horse this big, staying balanced is a HUGE challange - AND best of all - he finally had enough courage to do a short trail ride without being a basket case. This is HUGE for him! I am going to try to ride early again tomorrow before my appointments!!! With all the icky junk going on had to post my good thing!! Here are a couple of pics of my guy from earlier:) Sara

He is a great horse - very peculiar about things in his world - only likes certain people, certain blankets, certain foods - lol. Funny guy. I am so happy we are finally progressing forward. He is 5 as of July - so he has to start being a big boy lol.
