Ok, ladies........ I have e-mailed the Oprah show a few different times to do a segment on horse slaughter. I am not a big fan of hers however, she does have a HUGE audience. I noticed today they are doing the show on "caged farm animals". Recently they have done shows about getting a million pets adopted and the use of fur. It's mostly Lisa Ling that appears with her when these issues are discussed.

I was thinking that we could ALL e-mail the Oprah show and Lisa Ling to request that she gives some time to the slaughter issue. So many people are unaware of this and I think it would be a great way of getting the information out there. I know we can do this.

This is a great idea - although because of how controversial it is, I have a feeling that until after the election it may be something that they just don't touch. she is obviously a HUGE supporter of obama, and may not want to tie back since I know that this was approached to the canidates at some point. BUT - I think it i s a great idea. Have you thought about also emailing locally to do the evening magazine thing as well??
