Hey all-
We took pictures of Ed the other day. His copper coat is changing to its darker winter color.
Ed continues to take small steps towards being a confident horse. I'm still looking for the right person to take Ed on. In the right hands, I think he could do dressage or hunter-jumper.
Ed was adopted from CBER in March 2006. Ed's past included a lot of training, it seems. On a good day, he leg-reins and is very responsive. He's so responsive he needs an advanced rider.
On a difficult day, his fears take over, and one shouldn't even get on him. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, just a bunch of scared ones. Anything new scares the willies out of him. He will probably never be a good trail horse.
We're looking for a new boarding situation around Portland. Our current boarding is great, but it's a family barn, and the owner works for UPS, and the holiday season is fast approaching. So the two horses that aren't family horses need to find new digs. They will miss me and Ed, and we'll miss them too!
So if you know of good full-care board in the Portland area, that isn't too expensive, with daily turn-out, let me know. If you want a beautiful, challenging horse that likes other horses, and is slowly learning that people are okay, let me know.
