There is a black and white stallion that lives down the road that is skinny, in a small pen, and is weaving, and he's only 3 or 4. It seems that the guy wants to take good care of him, but the boy is clearly not happy or doing well. I'm going to need to start driving with blinders on, there are way too many skinny sad horses around here. Anyhow, I left him my number awhile back and he finally called today. He tells me that he thinks he's registered TWH and sire is (he thinks) Allen's Pride spots, and dam is Mystic Rhythms. not sure on spelling. I couldn't find anything. Anyone know how to look it up?
I may let him board over here, I just get heartbroken when I see horses weave...it's so sad, and he'd have company and a few acres to run around. We'll see...

Sorry, I don't know how to look that up either........ But, that would be great, and generous to take on a stallion..altho' I know you have YOUR boy already. Let's hope he takes you up on it.

Unfortunately I don't have my boy anymore. I had to sell him last month, and he just left for Oklahoma last week. Let me tell you I have spent many nights awake and shed many tears. She tells me that he misses me too. I was so bonded to him, I had him since he was born, he's 5 1/2 now. But, have to buy land and feed the rest of the family, and we wanted to get out of breeding too. very sad. I'm talking to the owner to see how we can get this horse fatter and happier. We're talking about gelding him and boarding him over here until he decides what he wants to do with him.

Well of course, gelding him would be the way to go...if you can get the owner to do that. MTA........so that WAS your Orn on "Equine now" that I was looking at this afternoon.....it did pass thru my mind. I'm sorry he couldn't have gone somewhere closer than Ok.

the owner wants to geld him, but doesn't have the $. It's only $275, so we'll see. He might be moving to Utah and doesn't know if he is going to take him or not. This is in 7 months. I told him if he boards here I'll do as much training as I can for free. He's black and white and 16 hands, he'll be a nice horse when he learns how to be a horse.
Orn will be moving in with 4 Icey mares, so he'll be happy. He didn't get to breed this year, but he got ridden alot. They are going to be moving to New Mexico, so that's a little closer. I can't believe how much I miss him, but I know he went to a Fabulous home. I make sure that every horse I sell is going to an exceptional home.

Does the owner know about the 'Gelding' clinic that Norcal ER is doing? Not sure how far that would be for you, (or him) to drive, but they've got funds for 10 stallions, (only $25 for the owner), and only 3 signed up so far. MT correct typo.

Wow! I will have to call and let him know. I just decided to take on a prego tb mare, so I am going to just hope this guy does the right thing for his horse. so far my visits to these people's houses that are starving thier horses have helped. I've embarrassed them enough to start feeding and caring for thier horses. He finally wormed his horse, so maybe that will help him keep some weight on. We'll see. I'm going to keep an eye on him, and do what I can to help-but I also realize I can't take on everyone's problems! **there are 8 horses within a mile or two from my house that need to be rescued and are either free or almost free. Thanks for the suggestion, he has a trailer, so I'll pass on the info.
